ISSF: Global stainless steel consumption is expected to decline by nearly 7.8% in 2020
According to the International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) recently, based on the huge impact of the new coronavirus epidemic on the global economy, global stainless steel consumption is expected to decrease by 3.47 million tons in 2020 compared with the previous year, a decrease of nearly 7.8% to 41.24 million tons.
ISSF also predicts that by 2021, the consumption of stainless steel in all regions of the world will resume V-type due to the end of the new coronavirus epidemic. The consumption is expected to increase by 3.28 million tons, an increase of nearly 8%, reaching 45.45 million tons.
